FIONA PANGOS - Artistic Director

Fiona Pangos accepted the position of Artistic Director at the start of the concert year 2010-2011. Fiona is no stranger to our choir as she has performed with Rapport in the past, not only as a chorister, but also as a solo performer (most recently as a Rapport's soprano soloist at the North Bay Symphony concert last December).


Originally from North Bay, Fiona attained her Honours Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario.  Her instructors included Steven Henrikson, Patricia Willington, and Ron Bemrich. In 2006, she attended Nipissing University to complete her Bachelor of Education degree.
 		 

Throughout high school and university, Fiona has performed in various pop and jazz ensembles. She has sung in classical performances as a soloist and as a choir member for many groups including the Rapport Singers.

Fiona is currently employed as an Itinerant Music teacher with the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board and is qualified to teach in the Primary, Junior, and Intermediate (Instrumental Music) divisions. Fiona is also a private vocal music teacher at Brava Music Studios. As well, she has vast experience competing in the Kiwanis Music Festival, as a competitor and coach. 


JOHN HENDERSON - Accompanist

Born and raised in North Bay, John studied music locally and received his Grade 10 Piano Practical Certificate in 2007. He has sung as a chorister with the North Bay Choral Society and served as organist for two major choral performances with the Society. John has served as accompanist to the North Bay and Mattawa Interlink Choirs. Currently he teaches music privately.

John has served as a Music Director at Corpus Christi Catholic Church and also as organist and choir director at St. John’s Anglican Church, a position he held for twenty years. He is currently the organist and choir director at Emmanuel United Church in North Bay.

John is a founding member of the Rapport Singers and for many years was a loyal member of Rapport’s Tenor section.
